what do I set the nic card to

What setting should the NIC card be set to
100 half duplex or full?
Also their is something about recieve buffers and transmit control blocks, what should they be set to?

If the NIC is attached to a DSL or cable modem, 10mbps and half-duplex should be selected. If attached to a LAN, use the settings supported by the LAN.
