Welcome to Speedguide :D , there isn't a whole lot of difference in most of them, I would suggest a Linksys.

from what I heard and read it's supposed to be a pretty good modem...

if you are going to buy one make sure you check with your ISP first to see if they support that modem..

I was wondering about a new modem. Im moving and instead of the regular 128 up...1.5 down cable....im gonna try 384 up and 3meg down line. But i dont want to rent the crappy RCA modems at&t gives us. I went to best buy and they had motorola sufrboard SB4100.....D link DCM200.....toshiba PCX2200....linksys befcmu10 vers. 2.......and the netgear CM 212. Can i get beter performance with any of these...or am i just gonna get better quality.

You most likely won't see a noticeable difference unless there is actually a problem with your current modem. I would suggest try your current modem and retweak your settings based on your new caps and see how well it does. If you decide to buy one I would suggest the Linksys.

:) :D
