I just got a HP Photosmart Printer for christmas. I haven't taken it out of the box yet though after reading some comments on Cnet. I got the HP Photosmart 7150. Not only do you have to change cartridges for photos, but the ink tanks are very small and it sounds like printing gets expensive.
Here's what I'm looking for:
- Good inkjet printer with both good text printing and good/excellent photo printing.
- Doesn't cost a ton to print
- Somewhat big ink cartridges
- I'm partial to HP, but not sure if I need to look further. A lot of people seem to like Canon and/or Epson.
Well then you might consider an upgrade. I have a 7550 and the cartridge bay holds all three: color, photo and B&W cartridges. No swapping. Yeah the ink's expensive, but it's always been that way, even when the printers were expensive.
