best mobo to pair with a 2.0a (no oc, just 100% stability)

I'm looking for a motherboard to pair with a P4 2.0A

There will not be any overclocking, but there will be gaming and stability is an absolute must. Standard ATX form factor with AGP, DDR, at least 3 PCI, at least ATA/100, and under $110.

I'm not familiar with the Intel P4 chipset boards so I'm asking you guys since I've seen a couple of you buy some.

Well Id say match Intel with Intel. The Intel D845PEBT2 on the 845GE/PE chipset doesnt look too bad. I dont know how much the board runs though.. Im sure there are people with much more knowledge than me, just giving some quick feedback

my msi mobo is 100% stable. I think it's the 6398 ultra aru. No problems at all.

Most motherboards now will give you that with the intel chipset in my limited eperience.

I've foudn that it's more important to have good ram and enough power for stability. Of course a good mobo too, but usually it's the ram or power that causes problems.

I'd have to say that an Intel board should be the most stable, but dunno bout the costs.

Asus = stability and quality.
Intel chipsets = stability and compatibility. I'd be all over the 845e.

If you don't wanna OC, then don't get an Asus, cuz their boards OC the FSB by at least 2Mhz even if you set the FSB to "stock" speeds.

I'd get an Intel board. They are one of the most stable i would think. Basically its reference design meant 4 the chipset. Im sure it wont overclock but you dont want to anyways.

Buy Asus with Intel chipset, That way you have the stability and the little kick Asus add's to the board anyway. JMO
