From Foxnews:

HOUSTON — The FBI has received unconfirmed information from intelligence sources overseas that hospitals in four U.S. cities could be the targets of a terrorist threat.

Houston FBI spokesman Bob Doguim said Wednesday night the vague threat involved hospitals in Houston, San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and mentioned a time between December and April.

"It's non-specific, uncorroborated information, but nonetheless it is information we received," Doguim said.

A statement from the Chicago FBI office said the threat suggested an attack was timed for mid-December and the holidays.

"Obviously the responsible thing to do is to share" the intelligence information, Doguim said

Your asking a lot out of Fox, aren't you? :D
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

Interesting how this thread turned into a political slam fest...

Back to the topic at hand, more info about the actual subject of the thread:

Davy..I was having a little fun...you know..humor? Ever hear of it? It puts a smile on yer face......ect ect....

As to your post...I'd love to debate that. Put up a new thread. :)

As to the story....sad if true...a few weeks ago, the railroads were said to have been targeted. Sad if the cowards have decided that to go against real men...(union men at that) and target the sick and elderly...Goes with the mindset I suppose.

Well..... just to address the fox is better than CNN post. I really do not like to be reminded that they are being "Fair and Balanced". This is the logan I'm fed every commercial break, news break and even at the end of the talk shows, the moderator says it.

It's just like those ads you see Sunday mornings during the political talks shows for companies like Georgia Pacific and ADM telling me what a wonderful job they do at protecting the environment. Are they trying to fool somebody? Anyone or any organization that needs to continue to tell me they are helping something or being honest, most likely isn't so helpful or honest. Fox is sensationalism at it's finest, Murdock wouldn't want it any other way.

But, by no means am I saying that CNN is the "gem" of the news industry.

I personally like BBCWorld. It's a slightly fresher spin on topics and opinions that just don't get aired by US news agencies.

Lately I've heard alot of parrels between the terrorism and Piracy in the early years of our country. US ships were targeted because we had a weak navy. Not only were commercial ships pirated but US Navy Sailors were captured and sold into slavery.

Till our government focused on building up the navy and sent a few very brave naval and marine officers over to Tripoli (the big pirate base) in Africa and burned the place down. We mercilessly slaughtered them and after that pirates were too afraid of what would happen to them to attack US ships. Some belive that we can do the same with terrorists. Yes, terrorists dont value their lives as these pirates did but this is our only way to opperate and we must not resign ourselves to their control or to constant fear of them or they have won.

terriost will target our civilians, women and childeren and they seem to think that doesn't matter if they hurt or kill.but let just one of their non military get hurt and they scream we are muderers to the world.
a terriost is just a coward who is afraid to stand up and fight.

just my 2 cents worth

Thats how the terrorists are unlike pirates I guess. Pirates wanted to get rich quick (and be alive to spend it). Though I imagine some just liked being cruel. Terrorists are just that, out just to cause terror and they dont care who they have to kill to do it!

What they have in common is that they would both attack civilians wich sets them apart from other kinds of fighting and makes them so horrible. Really it was only this century when civilians were openly killed in large numbers durring civilized warfare. WWII (bombing of factories to stop weapons production and stop Hitler)

What REALLY irks me is that people say what a horrible thing it was that we did to Japan. It was horrible that it was NESSECARY. The Japanese had killed 10,000 of their own and prisoners in experimentation for chem and bio weapons. They later used these weapons and killed something like 300,000 Chinease. I belive the Atomic bombs killed something like 100,000 people in those cities which were the core of Japanease Military production.

It's hard to beat the BBC for news, and programming.

I _really_ wish that instead of BBC America, I could get BBC1, BBC2, Channel4 and ITV here.
