I accidently deleted my show desktop icon. I have searched my windows directory high and low, and cant find it.
Can someone tell me the directory location or exact file name.

The problem with that is I only keep one restore point at all times. Also, this happened about a week ago, so system restore is not an option.
I didnt think getting that icon back was going to be such a task
In win98 its easy as pie

copy the bold text here to a new text document ... save it to your desktop as Showdesktop.scf then drag it to the quich launch bar.
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
