arnt 2200's supposed to be not so OC able? cause they are sorta at the limits of the hardware before they moved up to the higher FSB speeds.

I had a 2200 upto about 1970. Alas, my motherboard expired beneath it. Most o/c folks like to lower the multiplier and boast the FSB for greater throughput, taking advantage of the peppier DDR offerings.

I believe 2200 o/c's have already been discussed. The local AMD o/c champ is LT-73

Thanx david :D

Hey Manda, first of all one question: Is your cpu unlocked?

If it is, this is what you do:

Drop multi's
Raise fsb
Bump up the vcore a notch
Bump up the vdimm on the ram

Make sure you have good cooling. Also be advised you won't get too much outta that 2200. If your ram can handle it, you might get 1.9Ghz with little voltage, but they're not good overclocking chips. You want a good overclocking cpu, get a 1600+ AGOIA or AROIA. These are the best steppings and you'll be able to get a great overclock providing you have great cooling to go with it.

My 1600+ is an AROIA Y 0213, one of the best steppings out and i can get 2Ghz easy but i can't run stable with just air cooling. I've gone as high as 2.1Ghz and booted into windows, but locked up cuz i did'nt have enough voltage to the cpu. I'm not gonna volt mod this board. I did that on my Abit KX7-333 and it died 2 months later taking 3 new HD's and a 400w psu with it. Those are the chances you take when you wanna go extreme like i do.

If you need any more help, lemme know ;)

Good Luck

The best thing you can do for performance is flash to the 2815.bin
ftp://ftp.epox.com/motherboard/support/ ... 3a2815.exe

The next thing is unlock the processor,so you have control of multis.Forgot where I picked this up but credit goes to them.
