I have XP and it's eaiser to tell you what I have running because I disable alot. :D :-*COM+ Event System ( when I disabled this I could'nt install Nortons et.al),
*Cryptographic Services,
*DHCP Client,
*DNS Client,
*Event Log,
*Network Connections (When I disabled this network connections was empty),
*Plug and Play (When I disabled this I could'nt get into Windows at all. I would "loop-boot".)
*Protected Storage,
*Remote Procedure Call(RPC),
*Task Scheduler,
*Windows Audio,
*Windows Management Instrumentation.
This is a good site to check out regarding this subject:http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/supertweaks.htm
I have it so I can cold boot in under 20 seconds :D ,and shut down in 10. Ihope this helps. :)

I almost forgot when I disable something that makes my OS unusable I go into DOS and use 'LISTSVC' to see wich service is the most likely suspect. Than I use 'ENABLE' to remedy the situation. If that does'nt work I do a clean. :D
