good FREE html counter?

i'm looking for a good free counter I can easily code into a webpage.

What are you using to create the page(s)? If you're using Front Page, and your web host supports Front Page server extensions, there are hit counters built into the program you can use, without relying on outside (aka: marketing) hit counters.

I'm doing it all from scratch (basic html coding, picture links etc.)

I wouldnt feel as if it's my own if I used anything. Plus, I like typing the code in. The only tool I'm going to use is a slideshow freeware program I found.

They have free counter, free polls and u can add code to your webpage so that you can also tell how many people is actually on your page now, pretty nice one
