Is there any other tweaks that I can apply to speed up my network?

Post by Sgt_Strider »

Hi, I'm currently connected to the internet using a cable internet connection shared by using a Linksys BEFSR41 router. I was wondernig are there any other tweaks out there that I can do to my router or os so that I can further improve my speed? Whether its changing settings in the router or registry, plz tell me. Also if there are any other programs that will do it as well, plz tell me. Thx

Latest drivers for your NIC
All Windows Updates
Enable MTU on your router..max it out....try other various settings lower than max because everyone's service is different...there is no magic one setting for all.
