Serious help needed!
What do I do ....
I have known a guy though IRC for about 6 months now ... and hes the nicest guy i have ever met. He puts his friends before himself.
He keeps telling me how ugly he thinks he is, and how worthless he feels, and how life is pointless. I dont know how much longer he can hold on for ... he said he should of caught the first train to hell, but he thought hed give life another chance. WHAT DO I DO??? I have never had to deal with something like this before ... im just panicing because i dont know what to do!!!!!!! What do i say to him ???? Hes mad because this girl he liked picked another guy over him ... and this is what triggered this all. He hates his mom but still lives with her ... and his dad apparently made him his slave, and then left him for a *richer* woman. I seriously dont know what to do ... i need help ... please!!!!

In an emergency, call 911 or 800-SUICIDE (800-784-2433), the national suicide hotline.
Contact a primary care physician, counselor, or psychiatrist. Often a primary care physician can link you or a loved one to community resources such as support groups. A primary care physician can also check into possible underlying causes of depression, such as thyroid trouble. Counselors can provide talk therapy to help your loved one cope better with her feelings, and psychiatrists can prescribe medications specific to anxiety and depression.
Seek support from friends or relatives. Friends and family members can provide advice and may even be able to answer some questions about depression. They can also support the suicidal person in getting linked with professional help.
Contact your company's employee assistance program (EAP), if available. EAP's have professional counselors experienced in a wide variety of issues. A mental health consultant can provide confidential support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as make referrals to a local counselor or community resources.
The American Association of Suicidology provides information on current research, prevention, ways to help a suicidal person, and surviving suicide. A list of crisis centers is also available. Visit their Web site at http://www.suicidology.org or call 202-237-2280.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention provides research, education, and information on other suicide and mental health resources. Information and help are available on their Web site at http://www.afsp.org or by calling 888-333-AFSP (2377).
The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) provides telephonic information about family support and self-help groups. Their Web site includes links to information about teen suicide, child suicide, brain biology and suicide, as well as other sources of general information. Visit http://www.nami.org or call 800-950-NAMI (6264).
a lot of these places have websites and phone numbers. Take a look at them and pass them along to him

If everyone had that attitude there wouldn't be any hot lines
I forgot, coldfusion has the credentials to help? I think not. He doesnt know what to do and I told him the truth, it may not be what you want to hear but its the truth.
****ty luck, he didnt get the girl he wanted, move on kid.. He thinks hes ugly, like 80% of guys think they are ugly..
Deal with it.
For all we know...this "kid" could be a 40yr old man with an attention problem....could be a prankster just dying for attention.
The internet provides a measure of anonymity that can be used in many ways....this may be one of them.
One sure way to tell is to do a netcam meeting with live video and voice....I'd want to make damn sure that this was serious before getting myself too deeply involved into something that may turn out to be a scam.

Gotta agree with Mutch here. Nothing sours me quicker IRL and on the net when someone starts whining. Ugly? Come on...grow a set already! Now if its a legitiment suicide case well then...
Yea exactly. If he is suicidal that is a different story, but suicide isnt the way out ever, deal with your problems.
Besides if he knows he's ugly he should set his standards lower so he doesnt get shut down then go complain on the net.. lol.
I'm in a bad mood today. Damn insomnia!
