network cable question

i have a home network (2pcs) using a switch and i was wondering which type of cable would be best ? straight or crossover ?

If two PC's using a switch, normally two standard straight cables into the standard ports on the switch is the way to go.

Generally, only a crossover cable would be used between two PC's...no hub, no switch. Or technically you could use a crossover cable from the PC to an uplink port on a hub or a switch...which in itself is crossover...so two crossovers cancel each other out and make it straight.
