Best Mobo for your money

Post by E Man »

I'm looking for the best AMD mobo for my money..here's what I'm looking for:

- DDR support
- AMD 1700-2200 (anything made for that range is fine)
- Onboard Audio
- Onboard LAN

Does such a mobo exist? I'd GREATLY appriciate any suggestions.

I just bought a "Gigabyte GA-7VRXP VIA KT333 5P1A3D RAID LAN V.2.0 RETAIL" for $103 from newegg.com. It has robust features (lan, audio, udma 133, raid, usb2.0, 7 usb ports) for a cheap price. No probs so far. It had mixed reviews, though and anything less than rev 2.0 is trouble.
Test running..........
** Speed 2830(down)/1119(up) kbps **
(At least 56 times faster than a 56k modem)
Logged result.
Finish.

I dunno, i hate all that onboard stuff. You can get and epox or an abit which has the KT333 chip. You can also pick up a nic card and a sound card really cheap at newegg. Unlock that cpu, get some pc2700 memory, and you're in the big leagues ! :D
