Madden 2002 (PC Version)...

Post by Freddy »

I can't configure my controls the way I want. For some odd reason, when I configure controls under a certain configure window (like "QB Passing" or "Defense"), the key assigned on the same row, stays as the same key configure for the same row in all configure windows, even if they are different functions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Madden for the PC IMHO, has always sucked and will continue to suck forever. The Madden team spends about 95% of their time coding the game for the big name consoles IE, PS2, XBOX, Game Cube, PS1, N64... then as an after thought they throw together a PC version of the game just to milk the cash cow. NHL2002 on the otherhand is coded for the PC first and then ported over to the consoles, you can tell this by how far supperior the PC version is graphics wise when compared to the console versions. I have never really been a big fan of the NBA Live series, but I did have Live98 and that wasn't too bad. Madden 98 on the otherhand was absolutly horrible, Christ Tecmo Bowl for the NES had better graphics and game play than Madden 98 for the PC LOL.
Respect it.

Ya I agree....madden is ok on PC, nothing spectacular. NHL though, is amazing on PC! I'm really looking forward to 2003 coming out in September (I think)

And Freddy, I've experienced the same problems with the controls. You change the order in one section and it changes it in another....I don't think there's anything you can do about it. Trust me, I know it sucks

I think Madden 2k2 is fine. A real treat to play infact. Best football game on the PC to date no doubt. madden 2003 on the other hand is a bitch and crashes so often you know they screwed this one up big time. As to your controls why not use a game pad? I know that doesn't answer your ? im just wonderin.
