how to connect 2 comp's to cableroadrunner

how to connect 2 comp's to cableroadrunner

am moving in with a friend who has a comp running on cable connection.Want to go with wireless connection's.need advice on what to use?Want built in vpn protection,so cable will only see one comp and won't degrade speed.Any advice is wanted!

Get a wireless Linksys router with a built in switch... This will probably cost more than a reg router though.

Your key words about will not degrade speed.....then in the consumer level home routers, you want a Nexland. I'm not sure if you're clear on "vpn protection"...that doesn't make sense. Some routers support VPN tunnels better than others...if you want to VPN to the main office from home, or run a VPN server from your home LAN...but "VPN protection"? Not clear on what you mean. All routers for broadband run a NAT firewall by design...that's a basic hardware firewall that hides your home LAN via a private class C IP scheme.

Anyways....if you want the fastest affordable home router...Nexland is the brand. And they happen to make a wireless one also.
