P4B533 settings

i just bought asus P4B533 mobo.i have plenty of cooling,2 80g wd hd's,video card,ok gaming card (mad dog predator 128tv)and i use dsl.cpu is p4 2.02.have never tried to speedup a comp before,so am not sure how to do it.i understand you can increase speed thru bios setup,but which one /one's do i change? cpu feq multiple,cpu external freq,cpu/memory freq ratio,agp/pci freq,cpu vcore setting?am i asking the right question's?want to learn more from you guy's,so any help will be great!!!!!

Before you do it I suggest you read up on the subject. It is not hard to do but there are thing you must consider like proper cooling. The higher the overclock the more heat you must dissipate.
Here is one article on overclocking the P4.

Thank's for your help,my friend.Great link,helped alot!!!!After OCing,temp went up on cpu @ 10 degrees to 107,used to run @ 93 to 97,do you think that will hurt system?i have plenty of cooling,so i think i should be ok.Your advice would be helpful.

what is 107F convert to Celcius?

Well I do not know much about P4s, however my AMD T-Bird OC'd from 1Ghz to 1.16Ghz now stable @ around 50C loaded and about 40C Idle. Normal it would be in the low 30s and loaded at mid 40s. :)

Your temps are fine. how far did you OC? As long as the system is stable and you have good airflow through the case enjoy the extra speed.

went from 2.0 to 2.6,see's to be stable,ran nascar 2002 for @1 hour and temp never went past 107.i get cpu frq out of range on post,but i can deal with that.am going to upgrade to a real cpu cooler monday.Have been surfing,comparing cooling fan/sink,don't know which one yet.will take all advice under consideration
