Please click in my signature where it says Test tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speed Guide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.

TCP options string = 020405a001010402
MTU = 1480
MTU is optimized for Windows XP PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1440
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1440, which equals MSS.
MSS is optimized for Windows XP PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for maximum throughput.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 64800
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64800
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
506880 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
253440 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
126720 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)

If you don't know you don't have one cool, try this:
Download SG Optimizer to desktop, directions in help thread below in signature. If you have another Speed Program or patch installed you need to uninstall it prior to downloading Optimizer, thanks.
Select connection type at top, select adapter, select custom settings, enter 1 at a time 31680 or 63360, uncheck scaling under Tcp1323Opts, apply changes and REBOOT each time you change number in Optimizer if number Optimizer puts in does not work for you.
Speed test here, test will open another browser, close one
directions on how to do speed test in help thread in signature: Select site nearest you:
http://www.speakeasy.net/main.php?page=sup_pops
If from overseas try nearest site from here: http://www.testmyspeed.com/internationalspeedtests.htm
Directions on what to do prior to speed test on help thread below, turn off all running programs.
In IE, go to Tools, internet options, connection tab at top, LAN settings at bottom, nothing should be checked in this box, NOTHING, No auto detect, no proxy, no automatic configuration script, NOTHING, REBOOT
Try both numbers plus the one that comes with it, and run checkdisk before test, directions on how to do that on help thread in sig

i think my dsl is capped because i never get speeds higher than 700kilobits/s
I've tried all the tweaks, but I got no speed improvement
My isp said im supposed to be getting 1.5mbps/384kbps but the highest i got is about 700/350
Is there any way to check the capped speed on a ZyXel Prestige 645 adsl modem?

In control panel, click on Network connections:
Click the tab Advanced to bring it to the front:
In the Property box, the property name to be selected varies according to model of ethernet card. Examples are: Network Link Selection, Media Type, Connection Type, Duplex Mode, or any similarly-named property which can have Values looking like Auto-Negotiation.
In the Value box, select a value which either (a) explicitly says full-duplex or (b) at least does not say half-duplex. If there is a choice between 10 and 100 with full-duplex, choose the 10.
Click OK to exit the Adapter settings.
Click OK to exit the Connection properties.
Close the Network and Dial-up Connections window
REBOOT
