Xp Cpu Priority Tweak

Post by Lazlow »

go to this location:"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\PriorityControl\" and set the "Win32PrioritySeparation" to decimal "56"

this tweak makes xp never get lazy when it comes to procesor usage, it always uses 100%. does anyone notice a performance increase

I wonder what that would do to your cpu in terms of say ... shortening its life-span?

If you are useing a program like g@h or seti@h you will never get anywork done though. Course, real big performance junkies wouldnt be useing those anyway. :)

sounds like a waste of time, when the cpu needs 100% it uses it.

go to this location:" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro
l\PriorityControl\" and set the "Win32PrioritySeparation" to decimal "56"
That is incorrect it should be 26 hexidecimal, change it and see if you notice the difference. This tweak works but you have to have the correct value. :)
