RamDisk NT will work on XP as long as you do not have any partitions that are NTFS. I am currently using SuperSpeed XP and it is giving good results. I have also tried the M$ Sample Driver and RamDisk, but they were buggy.

RAMdisk on Windows XP slow up booting up till you want to kill yourself and throw your computer off your roof, hoping it lands on a cat or something.

Even though I don't like cats, on my system it is not slow to bootup. Complete boot up is about 60 seconds from power on to last startup program running. But then again, I am running a dual PIII 1 gig (oc'd to 1.1) on an Abit VP6 Raid with 1.5 gig Ram.....................

ARsoft has a self-installing ram disk which is simple to install and works fine in Windows XP:

60 seconds!?!

Damn... a whole minute with all that RAM? I only have a Pentium 3 @ 766MHz w/ 640MB RAM and mine boots up in 25 seconds, tops. Have you tweaked XP yet? Check out http://www.tweakxp.com and Lobo's XP tweaks as well.

Your are right. I just counted it now and it is actually 24 seconds. It seems like a minute though, still too long......
