What is different thing between 1000 Base SX and 1000 Base LX ?

What is different thing between 1000 Base SX and 1000 Base LX ?Please help thank You

Base-SX (multimode) or LX (singlemode)

zxc is correct that SX is multimode and LX is singlemode fiber, but the difference this makes is distance. SX (short haul) can reach up to 220 meters. LX (long haul) can reach up to 5000 meters.
