ARRGGHH! Burning help please
ARRGGHH! Burning help please
I have a mp3 file converted to WAV that I'd like to burn.
Problem is, it's 81:58 long.
I have a feeling it MIGHT fit on a 700 MB disc anyway, but NTI won't let it try. It says there's insufficient space and to try another disc.
Anyone have any ideas, short of cutting it in 2?

Nope.Originally posted by grundy
did it work? I didn't know that there was an option to burn more than 72/80 min onto a cd...
has a little warning that comes up saying there might be errors on the disc, it might damage the disc, might damage the BURNER!
Went ahead and did a test&burn anyway, but it failed.
You could try a proggie like MP3Trim to see if you can trim some fat off the beginning and end of the file. Your file doesn't look too far over the limit so it may be just what you need. You won't have to trim tooo much of it.
I've never used it, but was pointed to it once from someone here that says it works good.
Just a thought

Do you still have the original mp3? If so, do what Norm suggested and trim the ends and even parts of the middle. A 128 bitrate mp3 is the ratio of 10 to 1. So if you trimmed 10 seconds of the mp3, you should be close to be able to stick that baby on an 80 minute CD. Strange, Nero should have been able to overburn a minute, maybe. What burner are you using?
Here's a link to mp3Trim.
If you don't have the mp3 you can use a proggie like Cool Edit or Goldwave to trim your wav.

Errrr....ummm........after wiping a little egg from my face, I noticed there is also a WavTrim from the same site as mp3trim.
