16 bit

i'm trying to install a program and i keep getting a message saying that i can't run 16-bit windows programs. what does that mean? ? ?
the read me file said that i had to have VB6 installed so i did that but it still doesn't work - any ideas? ? ?

Sound like a older program. If the program will not install you will have to get a newer version. If it does install but will not run you can try running in compatibility mode.
