I hear stickin em in the dishwasher works well. Also, take a coat-hanger and bend it so it keeps the shape. MAKE SURE YA USE A NICE UNRUSTED hanger, or the rust will bleed.

Hi Blitz

My Mother actually bought me a Plastic Form that you use to wash your Ball Caps.

It works well i must say.

It's hard to explain but simple. The bottom portion is the shape of a Ball Cap, which you set your Cap on. There then is a folding piece that is the same, but slightly larger and it folds over the Cap and Clamps it together.
you throw the whole mess into your washer with Med. Water and let it do it's thing, then let Air Dry to control Shrinkage.

I have no idea where She got it but Wal Mart or someone should have them i would think.

I use those cap holders that minir described. You see them in some of the mailorder cats. I can fit three in my washer. Cold water, gentle cycle, hang to dry. Works great.

I would not use a dishwasher. The water is too hot.

Hey Blitz I had to go pick my daughter up and found one of those hat washers for you. Send me your address and I will ship it over to you :)

I can't get my white ones clean. I mean they're CLEAN, but they're not white like they were. My friend says I should try toothpaste. Not sure about that.

Anytime I've washed a non-wool cap, I've done exactly what Minir said.

If its wool, I'm not sure you have many options beyond dry cleaning, and at that point, you might just need a new hat. :p

The dirt is the character of the hat! I have a Yankess cap that bleeds oil when it rains lol. I used to work for a truckstop and did many oil changes in it. It's nasty as hell but it sure does have character and the stories to go along with it. :D

torsten: Add a little Clorox for the white ones.

BIGJIMSLATE: Cold water works fine with wool.

Anybody: I haven't found a way to remove the perspiration stain from a suede bill.

Hey, thx for replies guys :)

Mouse, thx so much for your kind thinking! I appreciate it, unfortunately though, I'm only 16 years old.....so if I receive a package in the mail, my parents would be extremely suspicious and would not like me receiving mail from "strangers". My parents are from the old-school, kinda strict when it comes to these things.

So plz dont be offended, but I cannot accept your gift. But dont worry, we got WalMart up here in Canada, so I'll pick one up I think :)

thx again.

No problem Blitz,

I certianly understand. I am also a parent and I would be a little worried also. No offence taken.

It's a plastic frame that the cap fits into to hold it's shape. I got some several years ago from some mailorder ad. Came in sets of three.
