Ever eat canned dogfood?
Ever eat canned dogfood?
Or even try it? I mean it's good enough for your animals right? but would you eat it?
If I were to eat dogfood everyday would there be enough vitamins to remain healthy?
I'm bored....lol

EA, go find a site that lists whats in dogfood(canned), and you won't touch the stuff, with a ten foot pole. Its downright awful. I cook my dog rice, and give her tofu. Kibble on occasion, that IAMS stuff. But she really likes her brown rice(with salt-free soy). A bag from Sams or the like is cheaper than dog food, and with the proper suppliments, very healthy for the pooch. I have a fancy rice-cooker BTW, makes it easy.

long story but believe me, they deserved it.
When I was young, I had a roommate who was cheap. We would bbq quite often and twice a week was steak night. There were three of us and we had good jobs. We took turns buying the steaks. When it was his turn, we always had london broil.
After a while it got old, so I bought horse steakes......no kidding. When I explained what we just ate....and why I bought em. this gent never brought home broil again.
By the way, mighty tasty. I'd probalby never do it again though. The image of Trigger keeps running through my mind.

I guess its prolly easier for me to list things I have NOT eaten, within reason of course.
The most difficult food I ever downed was called "dancing shrimp". The sushi chef sliced up some big 'ole prawns and thier legs were still a 'twitchin when they met my mouth. Odd feeling. I have downed handfuls of meal worms, moths, ants....just about anything that won't kill ya.

Well lets see: rat, snake, all assortments of bugs (with and without chocolate), rabbit, squirrel, deer, elk, antelope, moose, porcupine, dog or cat (it was dark at the time), possum, buffalo (American and water), frogs, eel, and a bunch of other stuff to include canned dog food and dry.
That made me hungry! I'll be back!

I have eaten muskrat, a tad bit gamey. Raw fish cut right from the fish as it was unloaded from the cooler on the boat. I think I ordered the wrong thing at a korean BBQ one time. I never could keep bagogi and kagogi straight, so thats a maybe for dog I guess.

What's the difference in contents between dog food and hot dogs? I'll bet the dog food is healthier!

Yeah, you soak it in a marinade over night. Then grill it. It's not bad when cooked properly and sliced proper. Otherwise it's like eating shoe leather.
And yeah it's cheap. $2.39 a pound.
Good steak runs upwards of $8.99 a pound.
I don't eat much steak either. Mainly chicken when I have the time to cook. Elswise it salad and water.
Respect it.
I meant to give you a call EA when I was down there but I did not have enough time. You should take one of your kids to Typhoon Restaurant at the Santa Monica Airport. I introduced a couple of my friends who live down there to it. I really should have mentioned to my pregnant friend that we were going there to eat bugs, luckily it did not make her puke to watch us eat them
.
An exerpt from their menu
INSECTS
WATERBUGS STUFFED WITH CHICKEN
Thai style deep fried 6.00
CRICKETS* 6.25
Taiwanese stir fried style with raw garlic, chili peppers
and asian basil
CHAMBAI ANTS 6.95
Manchurian Ants sprinkled on potato strings
WHITE SEA WORMS* 7.95
Thai style crispy fried on spinach leaf with ginger,
chili pepper, peanut, lime with Tamarind dipping sauce
Unfortunatelly they did not have the waterbugs when we went there. I would not bother with the White Sea Worms, but I thought the crickets were the best. My buddy thought the ants were better.
Here is their menu
On second thought, you should go down and order the crickets to go. Take them home and just start eating out of the container somewhere your family can see you eating it, set it down and walk off, let them check out the container on their own. Oh yeah, hide the camcorder and catch their reaction.
Post Post Script. It is a good restaurant. Other friends down there have described it as the best sushi place around. Strangely the sushi was not so good when we were there, but I did like those crickets
and the ants were scrumchy also
