Ummm......anyone else ever hear this?

Post by Ratman_84 »

Ok. I was just surfing the forums and I heard this kinda humming sound. At first I just thought it was the voices in my head, but they aren't there right now. Eventually I turned up the sound on my speakers all the way and moved my mouse, and that's where it is coming from. When I move my mouse I hear "BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" come from my speakers and if I use the roller to scroll up or down the page it sounds like a teacher scratching a chalk board. Not loudly, but like in the distance. Not very audible even with the sound turned up all the way. And when I don't move the mouse or touch anything it's mostly static but with the sound of a tap dancer or something in the background. Like the dude from Riverdance.

Anyone else have this happen to them? I would feel a little more comfortable if you people had the same thing. If not.........any suggestions?

P.S. I'm not crazy. I don't just hear the sound of Riverdance in my head, and there's no bees buzzing around here or teachers scratching chalkboards.

They told (us) to open up the Embassy, or "we'll blow you away." And then they looked up and saw the Marines on the roof with these really big guns, and they said in Somali, "Igaralli ahow," which means "Excuse me, I didn't mean it, my mistake".

I notice the same noise on my old 486 comp. I got rid of it by lowering the gain of the cd audio level to my sound card. Turned out to be pickup on the cable from the cdrom to the sound card. Dosn't seem to be a problem on my Athlon pc, I have most of the levels set high in the mixer.

Weak magnetic shielding will do that. I find it pretty funny when I'll hear that on a friend's speakers. :p

Crazy World

Post by Ratman_84 »

It's a crazy world in which we live. Hearing Riverdance and old squeaky wood through our speakers.
