BROOKTROUT TR114-I4C2 Fax card
This may be off in left field but have any of you ever had any dealings with this card or similar cards by BrookTrout?
To make a long story short I bought a used server and to my surprise this card is inside....I didnt know what it was so I did a little research and it turns out it is a Enterprise Class broadcast fax card...The wheels started to roll then this stuff is not cheap.....
CDW.com has the exact same cards for sale for $3500 bucks
http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.asp?EDC=100165
I'm thinking Whooohooo....Ebay here I come...The problem is I dont know enough about the card to test it....I do know it needs a 48 volt Ext. supply to work the DID/T1 lines but I was hoping to at least install it.....BrookTrout does NOT provide drivers they say they come with the 3rd party software package you buy.....ARRGH....
I cant find a demo that will support the use of the cards only full versions at $400 - $1000+ so thats out.
Does anyone know of a DEMO version of a Enterprise level fax program that will support the card???

I just installed the Omnirush version of that card about two days ago. What a pain in the ass!
Is it a PCI or ISA version?
I might have the drivers you need.

It is a ISA card.....I found a demo last night at FAXBACK.com that worked ...It installed without a hitch after a set the right IRQ in the board.
Thanks for the offer though.

That's cool,
It's an exspensive card as you've seen, you should be able to get a nice chunk of change for it on e-bay.
Should you decide to sell it, PM me the link or let me know, my boss might be interested in another one if the price is right.

Take a look and let me know, I sure have no use for it.
I'm hoping to get back some of the cash I paid for the server.
It's listed on Ebay now. Item # 1321222703
