Think about that article...what are the true odds that a minister and 3 others in his family get killed by a falling tree while they're driving down the road on a windless clear night?

They've already set up a trust fund for the little girl that survived...

The odds are just staggering. Especially with no storm or anything happening at the time. Truly sad and hard to believe.

There's a partk in town with a few hundred oak trees
(park name: Oak Park) and trees are always falling due to age and rotting caused by termites. Did they ever say what kind of tree it was or how old it was?

Hi Indy

It would appear that His job here was done and the Good Lord wanted Him back Home.

Sad though.

Yep, when it's time to go, it's time to go, no matter who you are...

I think they said on one of the local affilliates that the tree was an oak tree, roughly 100 years old...when it fell, it hit dead center (no pun intended) on the roof of the car as it was passing by....I don't know if they said there was any evidence of rotting or not, but it might be possible with the amount of rain that we've seen here in the last month...

Yeah, it appears that way...hopefully it was a quick thing that none of them had to suffer...

The tree was already completely dead. They mentioned this on the local news here in Indy.

tree then most likely fell as the car passed because of the wind generated by the passing car...not so mysteriouse once facts are known. stuff like that ALWAYS happens in the park here in town

Wow that's terrible. Yea when it's your time you gonna pick up the phone and accept the charges. The lord works in mysterious ways some we may never understand untill we take that final step. That's turly sad tho. I mean how do you think the little girl that survived will feel?
