How do I turn it off?

Right click My Network Places. Select properties. Select your Local Area Connection icon and then select Change settings of this connection. Select the advanced tab. Deselect the checkbox. Ignore their goofy warning.

Control Panel/Network Connections Right click on Local Area Connections, go to Properties, Go to Advanced tab, uncheck the Firewall. So the same for any other connections you might have also.
