Michigander SG "Meeting of the Minds"

How about a SG party for Michiganders and surrounding areas(or anyone that can make the trek) HERE!

They have plenty of room, good food and drink, it's in downtown Detroit right off of I-75 on Woodward Ave.

If this sounds like it would be a great place to meet, let me know and I'll set-up the reservations. If we can get a party of 20+ peeps that would be great!

This would be scheduled after the first of the year, need some time to set-up.

Canadians, remember we are just across the river.....north of Windsor, Ont.

There are three casinos in the area and plenty of other things to do after the meeting. You and your families could make a day of it!

Cool, it's a sticky. I was out since I got home from school. We ran up to Ramchargers and then to Willow Metro Park. Then I drove around for about 20 minutes to get used to driving a stick again. (1994 Mustang Cobra) Then I went on the road for my first time (in a stick) back home. (Southgate) Didn't stall it out at all

I anticipate being able to make the trip. I will have to make sure my batteries are charged up for pictures. All the people there are going to be like, "why are all these people taking pictures and in a large group?" Oh well, it will still be cool. Maybe I will bring some friends or something, better than what we usually do now, sitting around.

Mike, Remember "Where there is a will, there is a way". I'm going to shoot for January or February 2002, so you'll have plenty of time to save for a plane ticket.......with all of the discounted flights you may be able to get here for practically nothing!

Is Macomb anywhere near where you are planning on meeting? My brother lives in Macomb, so if I did get enough money saved up for a ticket, I could stay with him.

Very close, go to mapquest and type in 2301 Woodward, Detroit and check it out! Macomb is just a few miles northeast I believe.

Macomb Township? Thats about 10 miles north of me. It would take me 45 minutes to get to the HockeyTown cafe, 30 minutes if IM with wee96..

I lived in Trenton for 5 years. My parents divorced when I was 3. Then I have lived here for 12 years. My uncle just retired as the chief of police in Trenton. My dad still works there and is a sargeant (sp?) Anyway, it should be a blast meeting everyone.
