i have a cable modem=terajet 210,i hace a netgear 10/100mbps ethernet network card,my downloads are fine and general surfing is quick,but when i play teamfortress on-line i get real bad lag,any ideas would really help
I had the same problem, games were almost unplayable for me. Ask your cable company for a new modem, and they will probably give you a new IP along with it.
This seemed to fix my problem, and a few other I know :P
I'm having the same problem... can't get a ping under 600.
@Home told me it was a due to a worm virus on the network that they can't get a handle on. It has been going on for 2 months now.
