I want to get tweaked
I clicked the link at the top and got this i use rogers@home
I am not sure what other information i need but i would really appreciate if you guys could help me out
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows 98; MSOCD; AtHome021SI)
TCP options string = 020405b4
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 49152
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 49152
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1966.08 kbps (245.76 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 786.432 kbps (98.304 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF
Time to live left = 52 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = OFF
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

this is what i downloaded
sguide_tweak_98_ME (updated 11/23/00) - Generic Registry patch for Windows 98/98SE and Windows ME (includes a fix for 98SE ICS, as well as corrected SackOpts location). This is an updated version of mtupatch98, it's an .inf file that tweaks the Registry and adds all the optimum settings for Cable modem, DSL, or any similar broadband connection. To install, extract the file, then just right-click and choose "Install" from the Pull-down menu. You need to reboot for changes to take effect.
I right clicked the sguide_tweak_98.inf and clicked install
but nothing has chanded i restarted my computer also

For Win 9x bring up Cablenuts adjuster inside icon on desktop in box that says Cablenut,click on adjuster, in box that says DefaultRvcWindow take out number that is in there and put in one of these, 1 at a time, try: 51100, 513920, 522680, 524176
Leave GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize blank
You do not have to show me but check analyzer here at SG to make sure RWIN is in, you will see number right after (RWIN) on analyzer
At bottom click save to registry, and REBOOT each time you change value in adjuster or it will not work.Click on tools at top of IE, internet options, delete files and offline files (This is safe, temp files) and click on clear history after EVERY test Quick speed test here
Speedtest may open another browser, so check taskbar and close other one, no other programs should be running, No AIM, ICQ, Virus scanner, Firewall, nothing
Once you find fast number for you, you want to save it, on file at top of adjuster click on that, save custom settings, put RWIN size in as name and click on save, now if you ever want these settins back, click on file, open custom settings file, and click on RWIN number, then click on save to registry at bottom, and REBOOT, your done. How to do real dowwnload test on help thread below in signature. This is all I recommend, if anyone else jumps in with something else, good luck, but it did not come from me.
SAVE SETTING's so we do not have to do this again, directions above, good luck.
