One cable modem at a time, yes. Two at once, not really, unless you use load balancing software like MidPoint.

Why would you hook up 2 cable modems? Just asking, because it doesn't really do anything good or better performances.

He would hook up two cable modems together to gain more bandwidth, if bonding was supported. However, it isn't, so the most he'll get out of two cable modems is decent load balancing. Pretty much only useful if you have lots of gamers in the same house, and wish to achieve decent pings to a game server.

You can use a load balancing router such as the Nexland Trubo Pro 800. I always recommend Nexland routers and if you have two seperate broadband connections it's a nice idea.

1pipline =1pipeline = 2pipline.....mmmm make sense or I guess somebody here will argue that it makes no difference.........even though they have only 1 connection?????????wierd I would never comment on anything I never tried.
Exactly, so what would you know?

Load balancing = Same bandwidth for more nodes. Meaning, if you have 30 nodes in your LAN, and you have two 1.1 SDSL lines to connect them, there would be more bandwidth available to 15 users per line, than it would 30 users on a single line. You cannot use two 1.1 SDSL lines together to double the bandwidth on 30 nodes at once, unless those two SDSL lines can be bonded.

I bind them every night for a game server and for many other apps
Clearly you do not know what you're talking about, so I won't bother ask.

Lets see I work for a ISP and I spend around 20,000$ a year on computer hardware and software

Did you purchase that grey toy from Polywell? Where I work, we were just benchmarking that one, scored fairly well. :)

Although I'm only MCP certified in Windows NT 4.0 Server, I could tell you right now that wherever it is that you're at right now, you're better off staying there. The market for IT jobs nowadays sucks. I'd trade a bit of my soul right now to an ILEC in exchange for job security.

Thats my old gameing rig, its a 1.3AMD 512 m crucial ddr and a geforce 2gts.I built it ,and toted it to my office for creating web pages since I running out of space in my computer room at home, it was getting way to hot so I had to cut a hole in it to add a large fan blowing right on the cpu, (personally I think Lian-le cases way overpriced and not enough cooling)The benchmark ,well I dont even remember what numbers it made!? I go through computers like changeing clothes so allways get the latest stuff out (when I have time to look).Therealcableguy has far has a job...LOL cant help ya,but you shouldnt have any problems finding work???The ISP I work for is kinda small they cover only 2 states and only a portion of those, but the peps are cool and it gets crazy here!!!! :D :D :D
