MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput. If you are using a router, it could be limiting your MTU regardless of Registry settings.
MSS = 1436
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1436, which is equal to MSS.

Click on Help Thread & Tips below in signature and read, please leave your OS and system specs if you have not done so. Also if you have Cablenuts adjuster installed I need to know that. Take analyzer after you install speed patch an post results so I can see if patch is in. In my signature, Click on Test Tweak Here, Thank you and good luck.
How to post TCP/IP Test:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank
you.
Please leave system specs and Cable or DSL, OS, RAM, CPU Size
If you have router you need newest firmware to upgrade MTU

Pick speed test site close to you from http://www.testmyspeed.com
Do the below only after your sure SG's patch is in, take analyzer test, if after it says RWIN it says 256960, patch is in, if not go back and read how to install, then the below, I've got ballgame to watch
For Win 9x bring up Cablenuts adjuster inside icon on desktop in box that says Cablenut,click on adjuster, in box that says DefaultRvcWindow take out number that is in there and put in one of these, 1 at a time, try:554800, 560640, 578160
Leave GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize blank
You do not have to show me but check analyzer here at SG to make sure RWIN is in, you will see number right after (RWIN) on analyzer
At bottom click save to registry, and REBOOT each time you change value in adjuster or it will not work.Click on tools at top of IE, internet options, delete files and offline files (This is safe, temp files) and click on clear history after EVERY test Fast speed test here
Speedtest may open another browser, so check taskbar and close other one, no other programs should be running, No AIM, ICQ, Virus scanner, Firewall, nothing
Ballgame was not on, but patch is in, good job
