msconfig.exe?? what do i need in my start up to still run!!

MSMSGS, PCHealth, Systemtray, LoadPowerProfile, AEZbProc,GDRIVE, ACCIBM, Norton Auto-Protect, LXSUPMON, wcmdmgr, Alogserv, LoadQMm, New.net Startup, DXM6Patch_981116, webHancer Agent, RealTray, LoadPowerProfile, SSDPSRV, and *StateMgr

thats all i have on my start up witch ones can i cancel out and it whould still run help plz!!

New.net Startup=This alters your winsock2, not good for any internet connection.

webHancer Agent=outright spyware!

You need to get rid of the spyware before we do anything else! Get a copy of AdAware-It's FREE and the link is in your tweak post below.

Webhancer

Realtray


There are some there that I do not know the purpose of and some that are WinME System Restore files :)

ok i deleted all webhancer and new net files and im restarting and running adawear again anything else shouldi do??

after you run the program again see if it detects anything else, if not reboot and see if your speeds are any better.

i ran it again and i found one of each file and i deleted them again and rebooting anything else??

Do a speed test after the reboot and lets see if there is any improvement at all.

hey blebs99 - do you know where i can find a link like the one you posted about the start-up items for w2k pro. after a fresh reboot i got like 26 processes running. i'm new to w2k and don't know what i can disable.
