I pay $45 a month for 512 kbps down/256 kbps up, usually only get around 400/200. They furnish the modem with no option to purchase my own. If you go self install there is no sign on or hook up fee.
I think their price is high but there is no DSL or other cable server's available in this area.
I already had cable TV, 64 chls, & HBO for $45,
that makes $90 for all. Also have to make separate payment for the cable internet for it is another company.

$30/month since I have a family cable TV package. Speeds are 8600/700kbps consistently. We must buy our modems, no option to rent, and I like that. DSL sucks compared to this cable, and it isnt even available in my area.

Well.. If and when it finally does hit my freaggin' side of the block, I'd be paying $29.95 per month since I already have the family cable TV package. I have the option to purchase a modem from them for $129.95 if I sign up for a year, or $199 if I order month-to-month service.
i pay 39.95 a month for internet, 2200/300. and 9.95 for my full basic cable with two movie channels!!! fifty a month for internet and cable is pretty good.
12 year employee. Everything is free except pay per view which is half price.

Effective September 22, 2001 I'll be paying $44.95 for a speed that is forever going down. Currently 1800/361. People without just basic cable for their t.v.'s will pay $54.95 for the same.
I've watched my cap fall 3 times in less then 2 years, but the price is going up.
Time Warner Cable North East Ohio/RoadRunner
** Speed 1813(down)/356(up) kbps **
(At least 36 times faster than a 56k modem)

Your price is the same as mine but your down speed is over three times mine ....Man, if I had your speed I would think I was up town.

$80 = for cable tv that includes 86 channels which isn't nothing on.
$45 = $30 for the Roadrunner service, unlimited download speeds/768 kbps upload cap. $15 to lease their cable modem, I have a option to buy the modem, but I decide to rent it instead. Had several outages, but that was due to Cox Communications(only cable company in town, so I can't switch to something else), so I'm not blaming Roadrunner at all. Residential adsl can't beat the speeds Iam getting. To get the speeds Iam getting(between 3000 to 4900 mbps down/500 to 750 kbps up), you have to pay close to $200 per month for enchanced dsl at 1.5-6.0 mbps down/384 kbps up. For $45 per month, cable would do just fine.
The only thing I have to do now is upgrade my mobo(from a 400 mhz to a 1.2 ghz), put in 768 mb of ram, an 80 gig hard drive, and upgrade to Windows XP so that I can take a lot of advantage in Roadrunner's speeds. $45 is worth it for cable modem service, because I came from 56k and AOL dialup which would cost the same 56k and AOL dialup can't never beat Roadrunner at all. Never have a slowdown problem at peak time like SouthWestern Bell's tv ads want you to believe, the only slowdown problem I have is the internet that's slow. All together, cable modem and tv services cost $125.00 a month, including taxes, franchee taxes, internet tax, etc. Am about to get digital cable in the next 3 or 4 months, so I can have over 237 channels to watch instead of 86.

Dell Dimension 2350 with a 1.7Ghz Intel Celeron Proccesor, Windows XP Home Edition, 80 Gig hard drive, 768Mb of DDRAM PC2100, CDRW and cdrom. Cox.net at 4Mbps down and 512Kbps up.

My speeds aren't terrible and I realize, that to some, it seems like light speed, but when I first got it, I was getting 5500 and 6000 down. Then they lowered the cap to 3000 shortly after I got it, then again to 2500 in October 99 and now, they won't even tell you what it is.
It's the way they do business that has me upset. Would you like to pay your ISP and have them not tell you the truth and treat everything as if its a classified secret?
