Win ME

Post by chaobox99 »

Recently, she hasn't been acting properly. One a bad day, she would automatically restarts every 5 minutes. Sometimes, she would restart, do a scan disk (not properly shut down), and before the scan disk is done, she reboots again :( . She's getting really sick. I think I stress her out too much, I shut her down, let her rest for a bit, see if she can perform better tonite.

If anyone know how to treat her, my Win. ME, any patches to fix this fatal error problem. Please let me know. After all, she's all I got.

:(

I wasn't paying attention what she was wearing when I first bought her. I guess I'll go home and strip her down, see if I can find that round tinge. :D

Thanks rodrod! ;)

We have 2 PC's. Win2K on one, and Millenium on mine. My system hasn't had a single crash in the year I have had it. For a system that was never meant to be released, and never finished, it sure seems stable to me. My wifes machine, WIN2K, has crashed a few times and seems very slow compared to mine. We have the same hardware inside. I have read a ton of bad reviews on ME, I just don't see why. Although, I have disabled alot of the buggy type stuff. ( autoupdate, PChealth, System Restore, Debug Manager) Everything I have read about ME states these features as being problems. Heres a couple URL's for some suggestions on how to improve Millenium.

The only thing TERRIBLY wrong is how much we paid extra for Windows 200:eek: The only reason why we needed it is because she is a Oracle 8 systems analyst and a Database Engineer, and we didn't want to risk software conflicts. Maybe it has to do with the fact she has several large programs.
