My adsl seem to suck, MTU=1362

At all other topics I read mtu 1462, 1454 etc. I tested my own, and got a shocking low 1362! I have an ADSL connection and I use a p3 450, 128ram, 10mb network, Win98SE.. Maybe it is my proxy server that screws me up? I dont know much about these things... :/

Statistically, the number 1362 comes up most frequently with:

1) Linksys router on PPPoE with MTU set at 1500.

2) iVasion WinPoET PPPoE with MTU at 1400 and TunnelMode ON.

Which of these do you have?
