what do patches do like the ones in speedguide.net?? like what do they do to ur connection?

They optimize your connection for on your TCP/IP stack the best way to find out is to try them... there are return to default files on the main site here... http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml

thats doing it the manual way or this way with the new tweak tester http://forums.speedguide.net/optd.shtml

So we can help better what is your OS (operating system) that you are you running and who is the ISP and connection type..

im on WinME and usind dsl (and for the dsl, i'm using TCP/IP -> Network Telesystems PPPoE Adapter (NTSP3)
