Your download speed : 2475782 bps, or 2475 kbps.
Browsers would show : about a 302.2 k/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 264900 bps, or 264 kbps.
Your connection rocks .. above the 1mbit barrier!

I still can't believe what a difference these tweaks make! And to think that one can get them for free right here on Speedguide.net! AWESOME! :D :D :D

It makes me warm all over to see a short to the point positive results thread :)
Nice speed you got... How are real downloads from real sites not just speed tests thats where the tweaks pay off :D

Actually, I download around 600KBps using Download Accelerator...even in the afternoon!!! My fav download sites are ZDNet, CNet, and whatever FTP sites Download Accelerator throws back at me. I've had higher throughput at night of course but at this speed I really don't care. :D
Playing Q3 and UT are a priority at night so downloads are reserved for the day. ;) But your Cablenut tweaks really did the trick for me! Thanks Dannjr!

no...cable...@home to be exact. I'm in a pretty rural area so I don't think I'm capped either. all my friends have had it for a year or so and haven't seen any changes as far as caps go either. Hopefully the honeypot won't run out!

UOD2001,

What test site were you using?
New keyboard, but still no "any" key.

DSL Reports, this one, PC Pitstop, and just testing by downloading files large and small from sites like Happypuppy.com

Just for fun you can find a few other test sites here http://www.testmyspeed.com/index.html

I use a couple and take an average from them as well as timing downloads. :p
