(vcache) chunksize 4096

Post by 7241252 »

I know just enough to be dangerous about cache and how it works. Speed Guide Tweaks recommends 512 setting in sys.ini. The only setting I have under (vcache)is chunksize 4096. Before I change this I would like to know if this setting is this to high, what effect is this has been having on performance and what effect will setting it at the recommeded 512 have?

Also there are no references to MinFile or MaxFile cache under (vcache). Should I enter these?

I run an ASUS K7v MB, 900AMD with 256mb mem running @133mhz,

Appreciate any assistance. (my 1st post)

Thanks
