What do y'all mean by "villians" and "beta hairpins". How do I tell what I'm crunching?

thanks RicRouge

yeah I hate them too, I got a Betahairpin this time.

Roundeye: there are 3 ways to see it,

1.) Right after you download a new unit it tells you, I will paste it on here next time.
2.) You can get FoldMontior http://user.neosmart.com/hruzaden/folding (I think Den from DSLR Helix made it), you need some perl stuff though instructions are on the page.
3.) Also you can look @ work.dat in your F@H directory.

Beta hairpins run very quick compared to Villins. I was crunching hairpins at a rate of 1 frame every 23 seconds. :D The villins, on the other hand, take about 75 seconds per frame. sloooooooowwwww! That's why we all hate em. So if your doing hairpins, 100 frames is easy to see completed in about 30 minutes. villians take about 3.5 hours for 100 frames or 1 unit. At least for me anyway! :D

Villins are taking me about 5 hours and 30 minutes on my 233 and about 2 hours on my 850. People with AMD Gig machines must really be cranking them out.
