I've done all this:
Use Client for Microsoft Networks and in it's properties click on Ouick connect.
NetBEUI protocol
TCP/IP Protocol
File and Printer shareing for Microsoft Networks.

All computers must have these same setup in the network properties.
Plus make sure all drives are set up for shareing at full level so you can transfer files.
Plus make sure you have the same work group name on each computer. Then each computer must have a different name and different password for logging on. If you want it to log on automaticly use tweak Iu under logon add each computer 's name and pass word for that computer.
Also for security under binding properties in TCP/Ip protocol Unbind Printer and file shareing. Plus unbind MicrosoftNetworking to. Do this on both computers.
Now make sure you get a good firewall such as Zone alarm. Which you can get at www.zonelabs.com

I'll provide any and all info, just tell me what you need, thanks.

what you should do then is put your @home name on your computer name, right click on my network places, then click properties then go on identification, type in your cc231827-a id, or whatever @home assigned to you, and then for workgroup put @home network as your workgroup, do this for both of your computers the id's are different for each computer in the computer name field, then restart your computer, your modem should be on the uplink port of your hub, and if their is a button press it

All taht done, could it be that @Home hasn't flashed my modem to allow the two IP's to work?
Also, my mian comp can only connect if it is not hooked into the hub, only the modem to the computer, it won't work if plugged into the HUB.

Are you using the Linksys 4 port router? If so, the router WAN interface needs an IP address - obtained automatically or statically defined. However, you would be better served by using the router to share one IP address among LAN connected PCs. If you're hell bent on having multiple addresses then you'll need to give one to the router WAN interface with a PC getting its address via DHCP from the router; and give the other address to the second PC and define it as a DMZ host in the router config (Advanced tab).
