how can I plug a DSL modem into my HUB to share the ADSL internet connection? Do I have to get an extra NIC? Do I have to spend extra money? I'm new to networking so I'd appreciate it if someone could help.

It depends, do you have two IPs? or does your DSL use PPPoE? If you have two IPs you can setup the second computer just to use the second IP, with the modem plugged into the hub. If you have PPPoE check out this post, http://www.dslreports.com/dsldata/ubb/Forum5/HTML/000767.html . If you only have one IP and no PPPoE....I dont know yet, Im working on that my self
