CiscoKid is headed east!

Post by CiscoKid »

So it's been a long while my old friends, sitting here in Amarillo getting ready to head out for another day of driving. After a number of life altering events, I decided to join my friends and move to Ohio with them. They bought a 6 acre property for less than a 2 bedroom in Cali!

Good to see you around! This is quite a move, but you are on the road often. If you don't mind the colder winters, you are flexible for work and have friends there it may be a good thing.

The "work" issue may be a problem, I e been dealing with some medical issues that make it risky to stay in the field

So far...people in New Mexico and Missouri can NOT drive for crap! I'm pulling a 12 foot trailer, my friend is driving a 26 ft. Budget truck, and his wife is driving a jetta...people have been cutting us off left and right, nearly running us off the road going 75+

All in all though, we've made it to Illinois today, going to get some sleep and try heading out by 2 for the final push of a little over 8 hours...then crash before getting dragged to midnight mass

What are you pulling the trailer with?

Watched my friends' UHaul pull their Jeep for a 360 on I-10 a while ago.

2012 Nissan frontier, it's been doing pretty actually. Not so great on really steep climbs, but I've managed

Remember, weight forward.

This is the exact reason why my friends' U-Haul wiggled, whipped, then flipped and took the Jeep onto its side with it:
