I'm in the hospital with recoverable kidney failure. Meds for high blood pressure my doctor put me on caused this. My BP was 85/70. Keep me in your prayers.

Get well Lefty, you will be in our thoughts. Sounds like you're already online and docs are on top of it. Blood pressure meds should be dosed conservatively, I don't know what he was thinking but 85/70 seriously! Wow.

Hang in there! Thank God it's "recoverable". How long do they say it will keep you out of action?

I should be out tomorrow after about 7 liters of saline to rehydrate my liver. I might also need a transfusion around midnight if the red blood cells falls to 22.

Sending the best, if karma and character help you're a shoe-in.
Be well, get rest and let the pros do their thing.

Not sure where you are, but if you don't have family there, you have us.

Oh, and easy on the nurses too, even though they can be really helpful with recovery from many kinds of kidney issues from what I hear

Got discharged.
Got a new flight out to Mississippi tonight.
When I get back I have a couple of appointments scheduled as well as labs to to monitor me.
The lady doc that took care of me was more thorough than any I've ever met. Very professional. She wants my doc to make me see a blood specialist (Hematologist).
Crazy day and hospital food still sucks. But they were great to me while under their care.
Thanks for the good thoughts.

I have an extra kidney if you need one. Blood type vodka (kinda rare).
