I rebooted the router and modem today. PC has acted a little funny lately.
Sometimes I get a msg that says something like :
There is no disk in drive D. Please insert a disk into drive D.
cancel........Try Again......... Continue
buttons. And the buttons will not work. It makes a beep noise.
This message will pop up for various applications for some reason.
Today in Notepad I tried to save a file to my desktop and this message wouldn't let me, and Notepad seems very slow and doesn't want to respond.
Do you have any idea what's up?
I haven't defragmented in a long time because my main HD is a solid state and supposedly doesn't need it.
I ran Spybot last night.
This message also wouldn't let me run Glary Utilities a week or so ago. It asked for me to insert a disk into drive D.
I don't even think I have a drive D. I use USB card readers often.

Something Seems Funny About my PC
I run Windows 7. Sorry I forgot to say so.
In My Computer, it only shows a Drive C as my HD and that's my Sandisk Solid State 250 GB drive. It also shows the Lexar flash drive I have plugged in. I think I disabled the 2nd HD which is a non sold state drive. I don't think it's enabled.
But something I can't understand tonight is when I tried to go to a website I often go to, a Norton Connect Safe page showed up and says I can't go there. I didn't think I had Norton. I run MSSE. I can't seem to find how or where to remove Norton. Got any ideas about this?

Yeah, the Network connection properties should have your DNS entries, if customized at all.
As for that other issue, even if "disabled", if your second HDD is plugged in it could be having issues (mechanical/electrical) and the OS may be reacting by notifying you. I'd unplug it, or, better yet first check what is your D: drive in "Control Panel > Administrative tools > Computer Management > Disk management". Those notices could be for a DVD drive, external flash drive, HDD, etc.

2 things come to mind...
1. As Philip and I suggested, ensure you do not have a D drive under Disk management. It may be referencing a non existent drive. You may need to rename your drive letters (at least the D).
2. Is your BIOS booting to this D drive as is primary selection? If so, change the boot driver to your C drive.
