Slow Internet speeds but only on one computer

Hey guys i Recently upgraded my internet package to get 100 megabytes download and 10 megabytes upload. I test my speed with my MacBook Pro and i get these correct speeds. When i try these same test on my Very nice gaming PC (WINDOWS 7) i only get about 60 megabytes download and 5 megabytes upload. I use the same wired connection when i test them both and i have gone in and fixed the settings with the TCP optimizer that is offered on this site. I noticed that it is a more stable connection on this commuter now but its still slow speeds any help would be appreciated thanks

How do you test the difference, is it consistent 60 Mbps down ? How about if you try two separate transfers, does it get closer to the advertised speed ? Are both the Mac and Windows clients wired or wireless, any other notable difference ?

The difference could also be due to network card drivers/settings, there is an article on the main site addressing those.

I got some feedback about a slow internet and they tried to move their wireless adapter away from the PC tower and it has solved their issue. I have done the latter and it proves to be effective. Some advice is to use a USB extension cable.

Thanks for following up, glad the issue has been solved. Yes, many wireless routers/access points/clients can suffer from being close to sources of EMI. Location is important for any wireless device in general as well.
