CRAPPY PING SPIKES ROUTER LINKSYS

well, its coming up on the 30 day limit to return this 4 port linksys router. I cant get a good connection for 2 computers simultaneiously to play Unreal Tournament. I have pac bell adsl 1200 down and 105 up (very steady). 95% of the time when both computers are trying to play UT, there are horrible ping spikes ... over 500+ pings for both computers. If only one computer is on (doesnt matter which one) the ping is the same (sub 120) as when i used just the modem. I have tried changing the netspeed (by changning connection type to 56k on both computers) this helped, but not enough. It seems ridiculous that i cant get two consistently good pings off of the connection speed i have. any ideas? two UT addicts with only 1 good connection = bad.

My guess is your upstream isn't great enough for two PCs to game simultaneously.
