Not quite sure what the problem is

Post by Easto »

Lately I've been having random lockups. Screen freezes and the only solution was to hard reboot. I've run a disk check, run malwarebytes in safe mode. Nothing has changed. No new software etc.

The latest thing to happen was after about 5 minutes the screen went black and the meesage "no signal" came up. I think my Video Card is dying. I've made sure the fan on it is working. I've changed the cable to the 2nd connector on the card and so far things are good. At least I'm able to post this.

Possibly a loose power connection to the video card and the change of the output connectors on the back seem to have done it. Let's see how it goes.
