I'm looking for info about, "hit count", "miss count", "Power adjusting", "T-1 through T-4's", "Uncorrected" and "corrected" levels from diagnostics from the head-end. This company I work for doesnt teach us this stuff nor can I get answers from them. But I'd like to know so I can be that much better of a tech.
Thanks.
Modem Levels
In short:
Hits/Misses - those count intermittent connectivity problems with some modems... When there are many "misses" polling is more frequent, and it indicates potential problem in the upstream.
Power adjusting - constant power adjustments usually indicate problem with an amplifier.
Corrected/Uncorrected - Error packets received through the upstream interface that were corrected, or could not be corrected.
